COURSE INFORMATION:
SFPA's NALA CP REVIEW & STUDY COURSE AT FIU's 8th STREET CAMPUS is an 15-hour prep review for the NALA CP exam. The Review covers all five sections. The Review begins with an orientation to answer any questions you may have regarding the exam (e.g., eligibility, application, etc..). Also, we provide a mock exam - an abridged version to assist you ascertain your strengths and weaknesses, which will help you prepare for the actual exam.
This is a review course. Students should expect to read the chapters and perform self-tests before class.
RECOMMENDED BOOKS:
You may purchase (but not required) the following two books as study aids.
Certified Paralegal - Mock Examination and Study Guide, 5th edition. It is available from NALA for $45.
The Elements of Style by Strunk and White. This book is sold in many places and is available for free online. Any edition after 1990 is acceptable. Used copy is fine.

APPLYING FOR NALA CP EXAM:
This Review is hosted by SFPA. The NALA CP exam is a separate process handled solely by NALA. To register for the exam, you must apply directly to NALA. The deadline to register for the exam is the 1st of the previous month. For example, the deadline for the September exam is August 1.
