Understanding Civil Rights and the Paralegal’s Role in Social Justice

Speaker: Valerie M. Jackson, Esq.

Valerie M. Jackson is a partner in the Miami office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. She is a trial lawyer and has handled all types of civil cases, including complex commercial litigation and transactions, personal injury, premises liability, tort litigation and insurance coverage disputes (first and third party) and bad faith claims. Ms. Jackson also advises clients on bad faith avoidance techniques and pre-litigation strategies. This webinar will explore the important role that paralegals play in advocating for civil rights and social justice.  Ms. Jackson will discuss the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the Civil Rights Movement. She will also discuss the importance of diversity and inclusion in the legal field and the paralegal’s role in advocating for these causes by providing practical tips on how South Florida paralegals can make a difference in their communities.
