SFPA's CP REVIEW & STUDY COURSE FOR MAY 2011 TEST WINDOW.
The South Florida Paralegal Association (SFPA) is proud to present its CP Review & Study Course for those preparing to take the NALA-sponsored CP Exam in the month of May 2011. This ten-week Study Course is scheduled to begin on February 19, 2011 and continue through April 23, 2011.
In September 2010, NALA restructured the testing schedule and delivery of the CP exam. The exam is now administered electronically at ACT testing centers. You may schedule sections of your test at any time during the months of May, September or January for a two year period beginning when you take the first section test. This course is scheduled for someone planning to schedule their test during the month of May 2011. SFPA has scheduled this review course to end just before the May 2011 testing schedule.
Review classes are scheduled on Saturdays at Florida International University (FIU) located at 11200 SW 8th Street from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., or as otherwise indicated on the schedule.
During Orientation on February 19th, any questions you may have about the study course plan, and the exam itself will be answered. You should have your CLA Review Manual by Orientation.
The study classes will span an nine-week period and provide students with the appropriate time period to study the material on their own, and participate in a weekly review of the material in the Saturday classes. The mock exam on April 23rd provides the students a further measure of confidence by simulating the testing environment.
Cost:
Entire review (certain classes required for all, and those designated for your substantive law selections)
- SFPA members $175.00
- Non-members $195.00.
Individual classes (per class):
- SFPA members $25.00
- Non-members $35.00
Deadline to register (all registrations must be submitted online through this website, method of payment varies):
- Payment by check: February 12, 2011.
- Payment by credit card/PayPal: February 18, 2011.
- Payment by cash - February 19, 2011.

REQUIRED TEXTBOOK: Each participant MUST secure their own copy of the CLA Review Manual, 3rd Edition (green) to participate in SFPA's Study Course. You must have the copy in time for the Orientation class on February 19, 2011 to study the material covered in the review for the following week. The CLA Review Manual may be purchased from NALA directly at http://www.nala.org/publ.aspx.
Application with NALA for the exam and testing is now a two-step process, and arrangements are handled separately by the applicant directly with NALA, and/or the ACT Test Centers.
