SFPA's NALA CP REVIEW & STUDY COURSE AT FIU's 8th STREET CAMPUS is an 18-hour prep review for the NALA CP exam. The Review covers all five sections of the exam. In addition, the Review begins with an orientation to answer any questions you may have regarding the exam (e.g., eligibility, application, etc..). Also, the Review ends with a mock exam -- an abridged version to assist you ascertain your strengths and weaknesses, which will help you prepare for the actual exam. All classes are held on Saturdays for a nine-week period. Please see schedule attached below.
This is a review course. Students should expect to read the chapters and perform self-tests before class. Students should start reading chapters 1 and 3 as soon as they receive the required textbook. More information about the textbook is listed below.
SCHEDULE:

REQUIRED TEXTBOOK:
CP Review Manual, 4th Edition (blue) by Virginia Koerselman Newman.
You must procure your own copy of the textbook; it may be purchased directly from NALA for $170 at http://www.nala.org/publ.aspx. You should order the book as soon as possible to ensure delivery before orientation class.
RECOMMENDED BOOKS:
You may purchase (but not required) the following two books as study aids.
Certified Paralegal - Mock Examination and Study Guide, 5th edition. It is available from NALA for $45.
The Elements of Style by Strunk and White. This book is sold in many places and is available for free online. Any edition after 1990 is acceptable. Used copy is fine.

DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT:
Deadline to register and pay is the day before orientation, which is Friday, March 6.
All registration and payment is done online via our website and paypal. Checks are discouraged, but if you wish to pay by check, please make it out to SFPA and mail by March 2nd to our PO Box address, which can be found on our home page.
APPLYING FOR NALA CP EXAM:
